as is your way with those who love you. - Keep steady my footsteps, according to your promise:
and let no evil get mastery over me. - Rescue me from human oppression:
so that I may keep your precepts. - Let your face shine on your servant:
and teach me your decrees. - Tears stream from my eyes:
because people do not heed your law.
Collect
Glory to you, Jesus,
light of the world,
for Justin’s declaration when put to the test,
that no right-minded person
forsakes truth for falsehood;
help us, like him, to hold on to that which is true.

Listening
Come now, Holy Spirit,
and open our hearts to hear God’s voice.
Come now, Word of God, and transform us.

Prayer
Our Father,
hallowed be your name
on earth as in heaven.
Holy One, holy and eternal,
awesome, exciting and delightful in your holiness;
make us pure in heart to see you;
make us merciful to receive your kindness,
and to share our love with all your human family;
then will your name be hallowed on earth as in heaven.
