God of all the earth,
we praise you for those of our Anglican heritage
who have borne witness to Christ
in life and in death;
strengthen us to build well
on the foundations they have laid,
that your name may be glorified
in all the world;
through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen.
Prayer
Our Father,
save us from the time of trial,
and deliver us from evil.
Almighty God,
you see that we have no power of ourselves
to help ourselves;
keep us both outwardly in our bodies
and inwardly in our souls,
that we may be defended from all adversities
which may happen to the body,
and from all evil thoughts
which may assault and hurt the soul.
Amen.
