God our hope and strength,
by your grace Bridget’s visions of Christ’s sufferings
led her to challenge corruption in high places
and to work for the poor, the sick and the pilgrims;
grant us such a vision of your purpose
that we may be emboldened
in our service to you and to all people;
through Jesus Christ our Saviour.

Prayer
Our Father,
save us from the time of trial,
and deliver us from evil.
Almighty God,
you see that we have no power of ourselves
to help ourselves;
keep us both outwardly in our bodies
and inwardly in our souls,
that we may be defended from all adversities
which may happen to the body,
and from all evil thoughts
which may assault and hurt the soul.
Amen.
