13Hold tightly to the pattern of truth I taught you, especially concerning the faith and love Christ Jesus offers you.a 14Guard well the splendid, God-given ability you received as a gift from the Holy Spirit who lives within you.
2 1O Timothy, my son, be strong with the strength Christ Jesus gives you. 2For you must teach others those things you and many others have heard me speak about. Teach these great truths to trustworthy men who will, in turn, pass them on to others.
3 Take your share of suffering as a good soldier of Jesus Christ, just as I do.

Our Father,
save us from the time of trial,
and deliver us from evil.
Dear Lord,
watch with those who wake or watch or weep tonight,
and give your angels charge over those who sleep;
tend your sick ones,
rest your afflicted ones, shield your joyous ones,
and all, for your love’s sake.
Amen
The Blessing
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ,
and the love of God,
and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit,
be with us all evermore.
